Washington Aerospace Scholars Program

My journey with the Washington Aerospace Scholars Program began with an invitation to be part of an academic enrichment program sponsored by the University of Washington and Boeing. This was college-level academic coursework I would need to complete alongside my high school courses during the school year, but how could I pass this up? Iā€™m so happy I did this. The Aerospace Scholars Program gave me an opportunity to learn about engineering and the aerospace industry from some of the leading practitioners in the area.

Based on my high achievement in completing the coursework, I was invited to a summer residency program hosted at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. During this summer program, we planned a Mission to Mars! I was selected as a team leader in the Mission Planning team and was responsible for bringing together and coordinating the different teams across the program. What an amazing experience!
