Aerospace Club

During Covid, many student clubs and activities ceased due to a lack of in-person interaction. One of the casualties of this was the Aerospace Club. I learned about this club through a teacher who previously mentored the club. He mentioned that the former student President of the club had graduated during Covid and was moving on to college and that the club was now dormant and at risk of being eliminated altogether.

For an aerospace club to disappear in an area that was home to aerospace research and development pioneers such as Boeing and Blue Origin would be a shame. With this in mind, I set out to resurrect the club. I tracked down the former President who had graduated and transitioned all the information, materials and equipment for the club from them, found a faculty advisor, re-recruited members and re-established the organization. As President of the Aerospace Club, I am proud that this once-dormant club is now back in action and thriving.
