Teaching Robotics at KCLS

After experiencing robotics and how many skills I learned from it, I wanted to try teaching it to younger students hoping it might create a spark in them to learn more. I was able to put together a curriculum and approached the King County Library System (KCLS) to see if they would be open to offering a course for students at the library. They welcomed me to do so but required that I have assistants to ensure a manageable teacher-to-student ratio. To address this requirement I taught the KCLS staff the curriculum and they were able to assist me in teaching the course.

The course was a success, reaching capacity within an hour of being offered. The students were engaged and had a blast. Multiple students thanked me for teaching the course and expressed interest in learning more about robotics. KCLS asked me to return to teach more courses and they are equipped to teach the course as well. Mission accomplished!
